Are you joining us for the first time?

Welcome!

We know it can be a little daunting to come to church for the first time, whether you're new to the area, or even to Christianity itself! We are ready and waiting to welcome you in, and in the meantime we have created this page to answer a few questions you might have:

When and where does the church meet?

Every Sunday, usually at 8:00am and 10:00am. Please see Services & Worship for more details. If you need to get a parking spot, we advising aiming to arrive in good time! When the Church car park is full, the nearest public car park is in Village Way.

We meet at:
St Nicolas Church (or the Church Rooms)
Church Lane
Cranleigh, Surrey
GU6 8AR

You can see a map at the footer of this page!

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome, particularly from our Clergy, Church Wardens and Welcome Team, who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go.

We offer a wide variety of worship, details of which can be found on our Services & Worship page. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served in the Church Rooms after all Sunday services.

Can I bring my young children to church?

Absolutely! We have a full programme for families and children at St Nics, and we're always excited to help them begin their faith journey.

Children of all ages are welcome every Sunday and there is an area in the side chapel (Baynards) with toys, books and colouring.

On the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month there are services geared toward young families. Our 'Trackers' group for primary-aged children meets on the 3rd Sunday and in Discovery services.

Do I have to join in?

Only if you want to! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you. You might find the more you visit, the more you want to join in, so we hope you'll come more than once!

I have more questions. How can I get in touch to ask?

Please feel free to contact us any time. Our Parish Office is open Monday, Wednesday & Friday (9:30am-2:30pm) and you can drop in any time. Alternatively, visit our About Us page to meet our team and find contact details for the Rector, Curates and administrative and pastoral staff. We look forward to hearing from you!

Is there a dress code?

Please just be comfortable, and most imporantly: be yourself!
